Born Again : 2020

Fun Fact :  I am a trained bel canto vocalist who mentored under Brian Vollmer of the Canadian metal band Helix. I am also a published cross stitch designer and my work has been featured in the needlework magazine, ‘A Needle Pulling Thread’.

I was born in New Brunswick and moved to Ontario when I was 8 years old. Definitely a culture shock. People might be surprised at the vast differences in day to day living between the two provinces.

I studied sociology and women and gender studies at Carlton University in Ottawa before transferring to the University of Windsor to pursue double honours majors in psychology and criminology.

As life would often have it, my professional life took an unexpected path and I ended up fostering a career in executive sales roles, training and managing over 1000 sales and business development professionals in several different industries. As different as this may seem from my academic focuses in university, my education and training in those fields contributed significantly to my success in the business world.

Now an entrepreneur, I have founded 3 companies in 3 very different industries.

I stumbled my way into web development and strategic design in 1999 out of necessity and found a passion in this new age of content and information sharing. To say I have spent thousands upon thousands of hours in the past 26 years honing these skills to become the expert I am today would be a conservative estimate. It is often in the unexpected that we find new life. It is in this professional space where I find true joy and work fulfillment.

Travelling has been a big part of my life. I love adventure travel- you will not find me lying on a beach somewhere. I have soared over the Masai Mara in Kenya in a hot air balloon, ridden a camel in the Giza desert in Egypt, white water rafted and cave dove in Costa Rica, sang on the stone steps of Sacre Coeur in Paris, scuba dived off the coast of Kenya, and had too many other incredible adventures to mention. Machu Picchu here I come.

It is truly during these amazing expeditions that I have felt most connected to God’s perfect design in all things. I am humbled before His breathtaking creations, and His children I meet along the way.

I have been truly blessed to share this life with my husband and two remarkable children who remind me everyday what unconditional love and support really means.

As the newest member of Tableland Ministries, I am so grateful to have been invited to join this astounding team of individuals whose unbounded love and devotion to God is present in everything they do. This is a new exciting chapter, not just in my life but in this ministry’s life and I am excited to see where the Lord leads us.
